Dr. You Zheng, Senior Research Associate, joined LMIS in 2018. She brings her research experience, data science skills, and methodological expertise in quantitative design and analysis to her work at LMIS, leveraging skills from her Ph.D. in Information Science and Technology to lead many of LMIS’ quantitative analyses.

You’s research interests include workforce development, higher education and training, and programmatic quality. She has conducted labor market analyses on numerous industries in New York City, including IT, healthcare, and the life sciences, and deploys a wide variety of publicly available and proprietary data sources in her work, such as the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the New York State Department of Labor (NYSDOL), and the American Community Survey (ACS). Often, these analyses have been presented to audiences as applied tools, such as interactive career maps, career brochures, and trainings.

You holds a Ph.D. in Information Science and Technology from Syracuse University and a Master’s degree in Information Management from The University of Maryland, College Park.
